Profile of Artist, Patrick Jackson I studied at the Ecole Supérieur d´Arts Graphiques in Paris, France from 1993 to 1994. I then moved back to England to study illustration at the Gemini School of Illustration from 1994 to 1998. Since 1998 I have mostly undertaken privately commissioned work, which has included landscapes, still lives and portraiture. I have work displayed in galleries in both the UK and USA. I work primarily from photographs in a realistic style but have also recreated clients' ideas on canvas resulting in less traditional images. My style is influenced by, among others, 17th century Dutch painting (Rembrandt, Ruisdael) and the Painters of the mid to late 19th century including the Impressionists and the Pre-Raphaelites. With these in mind I always try to produce equally atmospheric work. To see some examples of my work, please click the links on the left. |
